Mauritius Research and Innovation Council

The Rodrigues Research and Innovation Grant Scheme (RRIGS), a new funding scheme in line with the National Innovation Initiative being spearheaded by the Ministry of Technology, Communication and Innovation (MoTCI), has been formulated to promote research and innovation in Rodrigues and to address the specificities of Rodrigues.

All institutions, organizations, cooperatives, enterprises and non-governmental organizations registered in Rodrigues, as well as Commissions and/or Departments falling under the aegis of the different Commissions of the RRA are eligible under this Scheme. Proposals are selected for funding based on their potential research and innovation value and their relevance to the priority areas of Rodrigues.
